# What You'll Need:

→ Main

01 - 900 g beef sirloin or stew meat, cut into bite-sized pieces
02 - 2 tablespoons olive oil

→ Seasonings

03 - 1 teaspoon garlic powder
04 - 0.5 teaspoon onion powder
05 - 0.5 teaspoon dried thyme
06 - 0.5 teaspoon fine salt
07 - 0.25 teaspoon ground black pepper

→ Sauce & Thickening

08 - 120 ml low-sodium beef broth
09 - 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce (halal or alternative if preferred)
10 - 1 tablespoon cornstarch (optional, for thickening)
11 - 1 tablespoon cold water (optional, for thickening)

# Steps To Follow:

01 - In a large skillet over medium-high heat, heat olive oil. Sear the beef pieces in batches for 2–3 minutes per batch until well browned on all sides. Transfer seared beef to the slow cooker.
02 - Sprinkle garlic powder, onion powder, dried thyme, salt, and pepper evenly over the beef in the slow cooker. Pour in beef broth and Worcestershire sauce. Gently stir to distribute seasonings and liquids throughout.
03 - Cover the slow cooker and cook on LOW for 6–7 hours, or on HIGH for 3–4 hours, until the beef is fork-tender.
04 - In a small bowl, combine cornstarch with cold water to make a slurry. Stir the slurry into the slow cooker during the final 20–30 minutes of cooking. Allow the sauce to thicken to a rich gravy consistency.
05 - Serve the steak bites hot, spooned over mashed potatoes, rice, egg noodles, or roasted vegetables. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley if desired.

# Notes and Tips:

01 - For optimal browning, sear the beef in batches without overcrowding the pan.
02 - Worcestershire sauce imparts depth; use a halal substitute if necessary.
