Juicy beef chunks cooked low and slow in a savory, garlicky broth until fork-tender. Perfect with potatoes, rice, or bread.

# What You'll Need:

→ Main

01 - 2 pounds beef sirloin or stew meat, cut into bite-sized chunks
02 - 2 tablespoons olive oil
03 - 1 teaspoon garlic powder
04 - ½ teaspoon onion powder
05 - ½ teaspoon dried thyme
06 - ½ teaspoon salt
07 - ¼ teaspoon black pepper
08 - ½ cup low-sodium beef broth
09 - 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce (or substitute with soy sauce and a splash of vinegar)
10 - 1 tablespoon cornstarch mixed with 1 tablespoon water (optional for thickening)

# Steps To Follow:

01 - Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add beef chunks in batches, searing for 1-2 minutes per side until browned. Transfer seared meat to your slow cooker.
02 - Sprinkle garlic powder, onion powder, dried thyme, salt, and pepper over the beef. Pour in the beef broth and Worcestershire sauce. Gently stir to coat the meat evenly.
03 - Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours or on high for 3-4 hours. The meat should be fork-tender and juicy when done.
04 - In the last 30 minutes of cooking, mix cornstarch with water to make a slurry. Stir into the slow cooker and cook uncovered until the sauce has thickened.

# Notes and Tips:

01 - Serve with mashed potatoes, steamed rice, egg noodles, or crusty bread to soak up the sauce.
02 - Add a pinch of smoked paprika or chili flakes for an extra kick.
03 - For extra richness, stir in a pat of butter or a spoonful of cream at the end.
04 - Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
