# What You'll Need:

→ Cake Batter

01 - 280g all-purpose flour
02 - 200g granulated sugar
03 - 200ml whole milk
04 - 100ml vegetable oil
05 - 3 large eggs
06 - 3 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
07 - 10g baking powder
08 - 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
09 - Pinch of salt

# Steps To Follow:

01 - Preheat oven to 180°C.
02 - In a large mixing bowl, crack the eggs, add granulated sugar and vanilla extract, then beat using a hand mixer until the mixture is pale and creamy.
03 - Pour in the vegetable oil and milk, continuing to mix until fully blended.
04 - Sift flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt together. Gradually add the sifted dry ingredients into the wet mixture, stirring gently with a spatula or whisk until the batter is smooth and uniform, avoiding overmixing.
05 - Grease and flour a cake pan, or line with parchment paper, ensuring even coverage.
06 - Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 30 to 40 minutes. Test doneness by inserting a toothpick into the center; it should emerge clean.
07 - Remove cake from oven and allow to cool completely in the pan. Once cooled, optionally dust with powdered sugar or drizzle with chocolate sauce before slicing.
