# What You'll Need:

→ Bread

01 - 1 fresh ciabatta loaf or 2 ciabatta rolls, sliced lengthwise

→ Deli & Cheese

02 - 6 to 8 slices mortadella
03 - 4 slices melting cheese such as Fontina, Provolone, Taleggio, or Mozzarella

→ Vegetables & Greens

04 - 1 cup fresh arugula

→ Oils & Seasonings

05 - 1 tablespoon olive oil, plus extra for toasting
06 - Salt to taste
07 - Ground black pepper to taste

08 - Drizzle of truffle oil or swipe of fig jam (optional)

# Steps To Follow:

01 - Slice the ciabatta loaf horizontally and lightly brush the inner surfaces with olive oil.
02 - Arrange the cheese slices evenly over the bottom half of the ciabatta, then layer mortadella slices on top of the cheese.
03 - Top with fresh arugula and season with salt and black pepper according to preference.
04 - Close the sandwich with the top half of the ciabatta. Preheat a skillet or sandwich press over medium heat. Place the sandwich on the skillet and gently press down with a weight or lid if not using a press. Toast on each side for 3 to 4 minutes until the bread is golden and crisp and the cheese is melted.
05 - Slice the panino diagonally and serve immediately, optionally garnished with extra arugula or olives on the side.
