Mini Strawberry Chocolate Cakes (Printable Version)

# What You'll Need:

→ Chocolate Cake Base

01 - 125 grams all-purpose flour
02 - 200 grams granulated sugar

06 - 0.25 teaspoon salt
07 - 1 large egg
08 - 120 milliliters buttermilk
09 - 120 milliliters vegetable oil
10 - 0.5 teaspoon vanilla extract
11 - 120 milliliters hot water

→ Strawberry Frosting

12 - 115 grams unsalted butter, softened
13 - 15 grams freeze-dried strawberries, finely powdered
14 - 250 grams powdered sugar
15 - 2 to 3 tablespoons (30–45 milliliters) heavy cream or milk
16 - 0.5 teaspoon vanilla extract

→ Chocolate Ganache

17 - 90 grams semi-sweet chocolate chips
18 - 60 milliliters heavy cream

→ Toppings

19 - Whole fresh strawberries
20 - Additional chocolate chips for garnish

# Steps To Follow:

01 - Preheat oven to 175°C. Line a sheet pan or muffin tins with parchment. In one bowl, whisk flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. In a separate bowl, blend egg, buttermilk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract. Pour wet mixture into dry and combine thoroughly, then stir in hot water until batter is smooth. Distribute batter evenly in pan. Bake for 18–22 minutes, or until a tester comes out clean. Cool completely, then cut mini cake layers using a round cutter.
02 - Beat softened butter until creamy. Add freeze-dried strawberry powder and powdered sugar. Incorporate vanilla, then blend in just enough cream or milk for a light, fluffy texture.
03 - Layer two chocolate cake rounds with a generous spread of strawberry frosting between. Pipe additional frosting on top in a decorative swirl.
04 - Heat heavy cream until just simmering. Pour over chocolate chips and stir until completely smooth. Allow ganache to cool slightly, then spoon over mini cakes to create a drip effect.
05 - Garnish each mini cake with a whole strawberry and a few extra chocolate chips for an elegant finish.
