# What You'll Need:

→ Meatballs

01 - 450g ground beef
02 - 60ml breadcrumbs
03 - 1 large egg
04 - 30g grated Parmesan cheese
05 - 1 teaspoon garlic powder
06 - 0.5 teaspoon onion powder
07 - Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste

→ Barbecue Sauce

08 - 120ml ketchup
09 - 60ml honey
10 - 2 tablespoons white wine vinegar
11 - 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
12 - 0.5 teaspoon garlic powder
13 - 0.25 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
14 - 0.25 teaspoon liquid smoke
15 - Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste

→ Garnish

16 - Fresh green leek, thinly sliced

# Steps To Follow:

01 - Preheat oven to 200°C and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
02 - In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, grated Parmesan, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix thoroughly until evenly blended.
03 - Form mixture into 2.5cm balls and arrange evenly on the prepared baking sheet.
04 - Bake in the preheated oven for 18 to 20 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through.
05 - While meatballs bake, combine ketchup, honey, white wine vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, cayenne pepper, liquid smoke, salt, and black pepper in a saucepan. Stir to combine and simmer gently over low heat for 8 to 10 minutes until thickened.
06 - Transfer baked meatballs to the saucepan with barbecue sauce and stir gently to evenly coat.
07 - Serve hot, garnished with freshly sliced green leek for color and added freshness.

01 - For enhanced depth of flavor, allow cooked meatballs to simmer in barbecue sauce for an additional 5 to 10 minutes before serving.
