Form mixture into 2.5cm balls and arrange evenly on the prepared baking sheet.

Bake in the preheated oven for 18 to 20 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through.

While meatballs bake, combine ketchup, honey, white wine vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, cayenne pepper, liquid smoke, salt, and black pepper in a saucepan. Stir to combine and simmer gently over low heat for 8 to 10 minutes until thickened.

Transfer baked meatballs to the saucepan with barbecue sauce and stir gently to evenly coat.

Serve hot, garnished with freshly sliced green leek for color and added freshness.
