# What You'll Need:

→ Dough Base

01 - 115 g unsalted butter, softened
02 - 100 g brown sugar, packed
03 - 50 g granulated sugar
04 - 1 large egg
05 - 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

→ Dry Ingredients

06 - 190 g all-purpose flour
07 - 0.5 teaspoon baking soda
08 - 0.25 teaspoon salt

→ Chocolate Additions

09 - 170 g semi-sweet chocolate chips or chunks
10 - 115 g chocolate bar, cut into 6–8 pieces for lava centers

# Steps To Follow:

01 - In a mixing bowl, beat softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until mixture is light and fluffy. Incorporate the egg and vanilla extract, mixing until smooth.
02 - In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add dry mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Fold in the chocolate chips or chunks.
03 - Cover dough and refrigerate for 30 minutes to enhance texture and flavor.
04 - Take a portion of dough and flatten, pressing a piece of chocolate bar into the center. Wrap dough completely around the chocolate, shaping into a thick disc.
05 - Preheat oven to 175°C. Arrange dough discs on a parchment-lined baking sheet, spacing apart. Bake for 10–12 minutes, until edges are golden but centers remain soft.
06 - Allow cookies to rest on the tray for 5 minutes. While still warm, cut into halves or quarters to reveal the molten chocolate center.
07 - Enjoy cookies warm, ideally accompanied by a glass of cold milk.

# Notes and Tips:

01 - Chilling the dough ensures a softer texture and prevents excessive spreading during baking.
