05 - 1 teaspoon garlic powder
06 - 120 g shredded cheddar or mozzarella cheese
07 - Sour cream or mayonnaise, optional, 1 spoon per portion

→ Dough

08 - 315 g all-purpose flour
09 - 2 ¼ teaspoons instant yeast
10 - 1 teaspoon sugar
11 - 180 ml warm milk
12 - 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
13 - 1 large egg
14 - ½ teaspoon salt

→ Garlic Butter Topping

15 - 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
16 - 1 teaspoon garlic powder
17 - 25 g grated Parmesan cheese
18 - Chopped parsley or basil, optional

→ Egg Wash

19 - 1 egg
20 - 15 ml milk

# Steps To Follow:

01 - Combine warm milk, sugar, and instant yeast in a bowl; allow to stand for 5–10 minutes until foamy.
02 - Incorporate melted butter, egg, salt, and flour into the yeast mixture. Mix until a cohesive dough forms, then knead by hand or with a mixer for 6 to 8 minutes until the dough is smooth and elastic. Cover and let rise in a warm place for 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
03 - Heat a skillet over medium heat. Sauté ground beef and finely diced onion until fully browned. Season with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
04 - Divide the dough into 12 equal balls. Flatten each ball into a disc. Place a spoonful of beef mixture and grated cheese in the center; add a spoonful of sour cream or mayonnaise if desired. Fold dough over filling and pinch edges to seal, shaping into smooth balls.
05 - Place filled balls seam-side down on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Whisk together egg and milk to create an egg wash and brush each dough ball evenly.
06 - Transfer to an oven preheated to 190°C. Bake for 15 to 18 minutes or until tops are golden brown.
07 - Combine melted butter with garlic powder. Brush over warm baked bombs. Sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese and chopped herbs for garnish.

# Notes and Tips:

01 - To enhance flavor, try adding chopped jalapeños or pickles to the filling.
02 - Pepper jack cheese can be substituted for a spicier result.
03 - For advance preparation, assemble and freeze bombs before baking; bake from frozen, adding extra minutes if necessary.
04 - Leftovers can be refrigerated in an airtight container for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven for optimal texture.
