# What You'll Need:

→ Bread

01 - 2 soft sub rolls (20 cm each), white or hoagie style

→ Spread

02 - 2 tablespoons mayonnaise

→ Protein

03 - 450 grams boneless skinless chicken breasts, thinly sliced into strips

→ Vegetables

04 - 1 small green bell pepper, thinly sliced
05 - 1 small yellow onion, thinly sliced

→ Cheese

06 - 4 slices Swiss cheese

→ Seasonings

07 - 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
08 - 1/2 teaspoon paprika
09 - Salt, to taste
10 - Black pepper, to taste

→ Oil

11 - 2 tablespoons olive oil, divided

# Steps To Follow:

01 - Combine chicken strips with garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper in a bowl and toss until evenly coated.
02 - Heat 1 tablespoon olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add sliced onions and green peppers. Cook for 6 to 8 minutes, stirring occasionally, until vegetables are soft and caramelized. Transfer to a plate and set aside.
03 - Add remaining 1 tablespoon olive oil to the same skillet. Increase heat to medium-high and add seasoned chicken strips. Sauté for 6 to 7 minutes until the chicken is golden brown and cooked through.
04 - Return sautéed peppers and onions to the skillet with chicken. Toss together for 1 to 2 minutes to combine and heat through.
05 - Slice each sub roll lengthwise, ensuring not to cut all the way through. Generously spread mayonnaise onto both inner sides of the rolls.
06 - Evenly distribute the hot chicken and vegetable mixture into the rolls. Place 2 slices of Swiss cheese on top of each sandwich.
07 - Arrange the open-faced sandwiches on a baking sheet. Broil under high heat for 1 to 2 minutes, until the Swiss cheese is melted and bubbling. Serve immediately.

# Notes and Tips:

01 - Ensure the skillet is preheated for optimal caramelization of the vegetables.
