Chicken Garlic Parmesan Skewers (Printable Version)

Juicy grilled chicken cubes with garlic, Parmesan, and herbs, finished with fresh lemon and served on skewers.

# What You'll Need:

→ Poultry

01 - 600 g boneless, skinless chicken thighs or breasts, cut into small cubes

→ Skewers

02 - 8 wooden skewers, soaked in water for 30 minutes

→ Garlic Parmesan Marinade

03 - 4 garlic cloves, minced
04 - 120 ml grated Parmesan cheese
05 - 45 ml olive oil
06 - 1 teaspoon dried oregano
07 - 1 teaspoon dried basil
08 - 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
09 - 0.5 teaspoon salt
10 - 0.25 teaspoon black pepper
11 - Juice of half a lemon
12 - 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

→ For Garnish

13 - Extra grated Parmesan cheese
14 - Chopped fresh parsley or basil
15 - Lemon slices

# Steps To Follow:

01 - Combine minced garlic, grated Parmesan, olive oil, dried oregano, dried basil, smoked paprika, salt, black pepper, lemon juice, and red pepper flakes in a large mixing bowl.
02 - Add chicken cubes to the bowl and toss to coat thoroughly. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours for deeper flavor infusion.
03 - Thread marinated chicken pieces onto soaked wooden skewers, spacing them slightly to allow even cooking.
04 - Preheat grill or grill pan to medium-high heat. Place skewers on the heat and cook each side for 4 to 5 minutes until chicken is fully cooked and lightly charred. Optionally, brush with additional olive oil or reserved marinade during grilling.
05 - Remove skewers from grill, sprinkle with extra Parmesan, and garnish with chopped parsley or basil. Serve alongside lemon slices.

# Notes and Tips:

01 - Soaking wooden skewers in water helps prevent them from burning during grilling.
02 - Chicken thighs provide juicier results, but breasts offer a leaner alternative.
03 - Leftover marinade should only be used for basting if not in contact with raw chicken.
