# What You'll Need:

→ Crust

01 - 180 grams vanilla wafer cookies, finely crushed
02 - 50 grams granulated sugar
03 - 85 grams unsalted butter, melted

→ Filling

04 - 2 ripe bananas, mashed
05 - 450 grams cream cheese, softened
06 - 100 grams granulated sugar
07 - 2 large eggs
08 - 5 milliliters pure vanilla extract
09 - 16 grams all-purpose flour
10 - 120 milliliters sour cream

→ Topping (optional)

11 - Whipped cream
12 - Crushed vanilla wafers
13 - Banana slices

# Steps To Follow:

01 - Preheat the oven to 165°C. Line an 20x20 centimeter baking pan with parchment paper. In a bowl, combine crushed vanilla wafer cookies, sugar, and melted butter until well blended. Press the mixture firmly and evenly into the base of the prepared pan to form a compact crust. Bake for 8–10 minutes until golden. Remove and let cool slightly.
02 - In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth and creamy. Incorporate the sugar and flour, mixing thoroughly. Add eggs one at a time, fully combining after each addition. Stir in the mashed bananas, vanilla extract, and sour cream, continuing until the batter is silky and uniform.
03 - Pour the filling over the prepared crust and smooth the surface with a spatula. Bake for 35–40 minutes, or until the center is set but retains a slight wobble. Turn off the oven, crack the door, and leave to cool inside for 30 minutes. Remove from oven, then refrigerate for at least 4 hours, ideally overnight.
04 - Once fully chilled, cut into individual bars. Garnish each with whipped cream, banana slices, and crushed vanilla wafers as desired before serving.

# Notes and Tips:

01 - Ensure cream cheese and eggs are at room temperature for the smoothest filling texture.
02 - Allowing the bars to chill completely is essential for clean slicing.
