Set up three shallow bowls. In the first bowl, combine all-purpose flour, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Add beaten eggs to the second bowl. Fill the third with panko breadcrumbs.

Individually dredge each onion ring in the flour mixture, then dip into beaten eggs, and finally coat thoroughly with panko breadcrumbs. For enhanced crunch, dip again in egg and repeat panko coating if desired.

Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray. Place onion rings in a single layer, avoiding overlap. Lightly mist the tops with additional cooking spray for optimal crispiness. Work in batches if necessary.
