01 -
In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, salt, baking powder, and baking soda. Add the yogurt, warm milk, and oil. Mix to form a soft dough, adding water little by little if needed. Knead the dough for 5–7 minutes until smooth. Cover and let it rest for 1–2 hours.
02 -
Mix shredded cheese, chopped garlic, and herbs in a bowl. Set aside.
03 -
Divide the dough into equal-sized balls. Roll each ball into a small circle, place a spoonful of the cheese filling in the center, and seal the edges by pinching them together. Gently roll the stuffed ball into an oval or round naan shape, being careful not to let the cheese spill out.
04 -
Heat a tawa or nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Place the naan on the hot skillet and cook until bubbles appear. Flip and cook the other side, pressing gently. Continue cooking until both sides have golden brown spots.
05 -
Mix melted butter with minced garlic. Brush this mixture on the hot naan immediately after cooking. Garnish with chopped parsley or coriander if desired.
06 -
Serve hot with your favorite curry, chutney, or enjoy it as-is!
